Toponas Honey Farm

The Toponas honey farm business requested a logo that visually represents the meaning of their name, which in the Ute Indian language is "sleeping mountain lion". The client provided source images and stated they envisioned a sleeping cougar on a bed of flowers with a bee on its nose, but was open to suggestion. Using those inputs, I created a variety of custom logos. After the client's selection of the most suitable design, I made subtle changes to color and typography to complete the logo.

The vector-based logo variations were all created using Adobe Illustrator

Concepts

Presented to Client

After presenting the concept logos to the client, they chose a design that they felt best represented their brand. They requested a change in the main color to purple and more smooth cursive typography while maintaining the characteristics of the original font. In addition, very subtle color changes were made to the flowers to better complement the color of the main image.
